Health Precautions at HealthBeMe events:
To reduce the risk of exposure and spreading germs at HealthBeMe-sponsored events, we ask that attendees and volunteers follow the following best practices:
Wash hands frequently with soap or with an alcohol-based hand sanitizer
Cover coughs and sneezes with a tissue or your inner elbow
Wear a mask if you have an infection or other potentially communicable condition, and consider staying home if you suspect you may be sick
Maintain a 6-foot distance from anyone with a cold or infection
Take appropriate precautions if you are immunocompromised by wearing a mask, using sanitizing products, and/or keeping a safe distance from others
Germs can spread among patients with certain conditions through both direct and indirect contact, as well as droplets that spread through sneezes and coughs. These germs can lead to worsening symptoms and can cause serious, sometimes life-threatening, complications.
To help further reduce the risk of cross-infection, HealthBeMe's policy for indoor events is to invite only one person with certain conditions at a time. For outdoor events, HealthBeMe recommends that patients with infectious symptoms or diagnoses maintain a six-foot distance from each other and at-risk individuals at all times.
